We’re looking for volunteers who would enjoy befriending a young adult with learning difficulties.
Our young adults live in Ashtead and the surrounding areas and although they may live in the community they would really value a friend who could visit regularly, usually in the evenings or during the weekend. It can be quite lonely when you are unable to go out on your own.
Popping round for a chat and a cup of tea
A visit to the cinema
Going to the pub for a drink
Going out for a pizza or a coffee
Accompanying someone to a club
Joining a small group – going bowling
...and anything else that friends can do together
Although this is a voluntary role basic expenses would be met by the charity.
All volunteers are required to have an enhanced DBS check.
If you might be interested in making a new friend please
